The short answer
After matching gargoyles III and VII, check the door inside the tower. In the reviewed footage it has an ornate gold surround, bookshelves beside it and two blue crystals overhead. The player passes through into a stairwell.
Three things to recognize
- The numbered gargoyles. The walkthrough identifies III and VII with blue flames. Its puzzle segment is edited; it is not an uninterrupted test of every statue combination.
- The indoor door. Search inside for the wooden doorway with two blue crystals above the lintel and gold vertical decoration. Don’t use the nearby balcony gate as your only success check.
- The stairs beyond. In the recorded example the player crosses the doorway and proceeds into the stairwell. That is the route shown here.
Compare it with the recording
The useful section is short: the III/VII reference is visible around 07:23, the indoor doorway around 07:26, and the stairs beyond it around 07:29.
If the gate you’re watching stays shut
First compare its surroundings with the door above. A Steam player reported exactly this confusion after lighting 3 and 7; they marked the advice about a different interior door as helpful. That supports checking the destination before diagnosing a bug.
This guide does not establish a reset procedure, additional statue rules or a fix for a door that remains shut after the correct mechanism is completed. The footage does not display a game build number.
